Do that for a week, and you can go through a few hundred mill.
Others are working up to things. Myself I'm in the process of saveing up for a Freighter, I also am close to being able to fly T2 Frigates, so one of each just so I can try them out and learn how they operate differently from a T1 Frigate..
Opps, we need to upgrade some POS's in our corp.. few hundred Mill ISK..
Opps, loose my 0.0 Ratting BS to a roaming gank squade becuase I'm stupid and *****ing the forums while sitting at a belt in 0.0....
the list of reasons why ISK is needed are legion. Sure, you can go out and have a blast from a single day of 0.0 Ratting or a day of lvl 4's, but everyone is different on what they need. Hell, HAC's are so costly, I'll have to save for a while to be able to afford one.
Couple of suggestions
1. You lost your BS ratting in 0.0 to a gank squad. Its a shame you didnt have a gang with you. Would have been a fun fight, no?
If he had a gang with him then they either wouldn't have engaged, or would have engaged with overwhelming force. Trust me, I've been in ghost fleets before; we don't get ahead by being stupid.

2. You are saving for a Freighter. Shouldnt everyone in the corp be saving for this? I think 1 week ratting in a solid 5 man gang in 0.0 could EASILY pay for this. Faster than solo mission work anyways
If everyone pays for it, then everyone owns it, and if you're the one flying it, then they own you too. A Frieghter isn't worth that level of continuing obligation.
On top of that, when one person can keep a system clear of NPCs, five people hunting in the same area aren't going to be able to get any more than that, unless they start doing banned unmentionable, which is against the TOS. This what you're advocating, or something?

3. you dont need or want a HAC to PVP in. With CTD, ECM and NOS, chances are you will die. so why not die in a cheap BS?
Domi, Geddon or Typhoon are all excellent GANG ships and cheap.
Every ship loss requires time to replace, simply because one must locate a replacement ship, the fittings to refit it, and then fly it to destination.
Back when I flew dualies (T1 cruisers fitted with dual 100MN AB and frigate guns, for those of you to young to recall them), a single ship loss would knock me out of the battle for at least a day, not because they cost anything to replace (and they didn't), but because it simply took that long to get myself to a new ship, load it out, and then get it back to the region of activity.
That's not a trivial loss, isk costs or no.

My point is simple. Why dont more people work together on a daily basis instead of when they feel like it?
Hmmm...wonder why so many alliances fail...wonder why so many people jump corps
Bingo!!! The reason is LACK OF TEAMWORK. truth sucks huh?
Teamwork isn't some magic wand either, that you beat on all problems with to solve. Go party in the Valkrum Dunes for a while, if you really want to see what I mean. (Shoot, the fact that I still remember that region, more than three years after I quit that game might tell you just how unfun that whole experience was.)
As you say, truth's over-rated.
